Ingredients
For:

servings
- 200 g ground pork
- 100 g shrimp
- 2 tbsp spring onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 0,5 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 pinch white pepper
- 1 pinch salt
- 30 wonton wrappers
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Method
- 1Chop the shrimp with a knife (not too finely). Vigorously mix the pork, shrimp, spring onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. The filling should be sticky and well bound together.
- 2Take a wonton wrapper. Place about a teaspoon of filling in the middle. Shape it into a rectangle (see photo). Dip your finger in water and use it to moisten the two upper edges of the wrapper. Fold in half to make a triangle shape. Press out the air and enclose the filling. Moisten the left and right corners, then bring them together by folding forward.
- 3Heat the oil to 165° and cook the wontons until they have a nice golden color. Stir them for even cooking. Once cooked, drain on paper towels.
Notes
You can serve the wontons with various sauces depending on your taste: sweet and sour chili sauce, plum sauce, soy sauce / sesame oil, etc. Wonton wrappers can be bought at an Asian grocer. You can also make them at home using the following recipe: wonton wrappers Fresh wontons freeze very well.
